You’re about to learn how to use the Every Proxy application. This is an Android app that you can use for sharing your internet connection.
You can share your normal data or a VPN connection using Every Proxy.
Only difference between this app and almost every other internet/VPN sharing application is that you’ll be required to change the proxy settings on the device you wish to share your internet connection with.
Well, that’s just a brief explanation of what you can do with Every Proxy.
Now, I will be showing you how to use the application to share your internet connection (either normal or a VPN connection) step by step.

GETTING STARTED WITH EVERY PROXY

By now you should already have the application installed on your phone, if not, click here to download it.

Once you have it installed, open it. This is the first screen you’ll see.

If you want to start sharing immediately, make sure you have your internet connection enabled, turn on your hotspot and then connect the phone or computer you wish to share your internet with, to the hotspot.
If you plan to share your VPN connection, first turn on your hotspot and get the other phone connected to it before you activate the VPN.

Most Android phones have a hard time connecting to a hotspot powered by a VPN, so it’s safe to connect to a phone’s hotspot before you activate the VPN.
With computers, it doesn’t matter, you can connect to the hotspot anytime you turn it on.
Now that all the devices you want to share your internet with are connected to your phone’s hotspot, tap the HTTP switch on Every Proxy to turn it on.
When you turn it on, an IP will be assigned to the hotspot connection. You’ll have to manually configure your internet settings on your phone or computer to use the IP address.

In the picture above, you can see the IP address is 10.105.117.178 and the port number is 1080.
If yours is 127.0.0.1, then you most likely haven’t turned on your internet. Turn off the HTTP switch, turn on your internet and try again.
Note that the IP Address you’ll get may not be 10.105.117.178, but if it’s 127.0.0.1, then you should change it from the Every Proxy App.
To do this, watch the video below.

Now, that you have a new IP address and port number, use it when you’re configuring your internet settings on your devices.

HOW TO CHANGE IP ADDRESS ON AN ANDROID DEVICE

There are many ways to change an IP address on an Android device, since we’re working with Every Proxy, you’re most likely using a Wi-Fi network.
So I’ll show you how to change the IP address on your phone’s Wi-Fi network.
You can watch the video below that will show you two ways to do it.

If you’re unable to watch the video, for now, I am going to talk about how to change the IP address in a way that is compatible with every Android phone (or at least most Android phones).
The first thing is, go to “Settings” tap “Network and Internet” and then tap “Wi-Fi”.
The Wi-Fi network you’re connected to should be listed, tap the gear icon on the right, this should take you to a section where you see some information about the network you’re connected to.
Depending on the phone you’re using, you can either start editing from here or not, for my device, I have a pencil icon on the top right.
If you have the same, tap it, tap “Advanced options” and scroll down a bit until you find “Proxy”.
Tap it and change it to “Manual”.
Scroll down a bit until you find spaces where you can input the “Proxy Hostname”, “Proxy Port” and “Bypass Proxy For”.
Now, input the IP address you got from Every Proxy in the Proxy Hostname, the port you got from Every Proxy in Proxy Port.
You don’t have to do anything for “Bypass Proxy For”.
Finally, tap SAVE.
By now, you must have successfully changed your IP address. You can check the video above for more clarification.

HOW TO CHANGE IP ADDRESS ON YOUR COMPUTER

In the video below that shows you how to change your computer’s IP address, I’ll be using my Chrome Browser to do it and then I’ll use the Windows search function.

The IP Address I used in the video is just for demonstration, it’s not the actual IP Address I got from Every Proxy.
I believe most of you already have Chrome browser installed on your computer. If you have, then great, if you haven’t, worry not. Just skip this part…or go download and install Chrome, it’s an awesome browser.
While on your Chrome browser, click the menu icon on the top right and then click “Settings”.
A new tab will be opened with a search bar. Just type “Proxy” here and it will show you some options. Click the third one that says “Open your computer’s proxy settings”.
This will open a new window on your computer.
Scroll down a bit till you find “Manual Proxy Setup”. Click the button right below “use proxy server” to turn it on.
And from there, input the proxy and port number you got from Every Proxy and then click Save.
If you don’t have Chrome, click your windows icon and type “proxy”, you’ll see a list of options pop up, click “Change proxy settings”.
This will open a new window on your computer.
Scroll down a bit till you find “Manual Proxy Setup”. Click the button right below “use proxy server” to turn it on.
And from there, input the proxy and port number you got from Every Proxy and then click Save.
Now that you have successfully configured your devices to match the IP address and port provided by Every Proxy, you can start browsing the internet using the shared connection.

HOW TO FIX FAILED TO START HTTP PROXY ERROR MESSAGE ON EVERY PROXY

The video above has hopefully showed you how to fix the failed to start http proxy error message on Every Proxy.
If you’re unable to watch the video for some reason, worry not. I’ll tell you how.
While on the app, tap the more options icon on the top right and select settings.
On the settings page, tap IP Address and pick the last IP Address you see. I don’t know why it works this way, but it just works.
Go back and tap the button again to turn it on. Hopefully it should work now.
You may encounter this problem again in the future, from what I’ve experienced, this happens when you switch between SIM cards (if you’ve got a phone that is dual SIM).
Sometimes it just happens randomly, regardless, the only problem you’re going to have is changing IP Address on the devices you want to share with from time to time.

CONCLUSION

Well, in my opinion, Every Proxy is one of the best applications out there that you can use for sharing your internet connection with other devices.
It is easy to use and doesn’t require your phone to be rooted.
Mind you though, constant use of your phone’s hotspot will make you run out of battery fast, so please make sure you connect the phone you’re sharing from to a charger.
Besides the Failed to Start HTTP proxy error, I think Every Proxy is a really good app that will handle all your internet sharing without problems.
So, to recap on how to use Every Proxy:
  1. Enable internet
  2. Turn on hotspot
  3. Connect to hotspot
    • Activate VPN (if you’re using a VPN)
  4. Switch on Every Proxy
  5. Set IP Address and port on connected devices
  6. Browse.
